Από την Εριφύλλη Ράφτη
Οι υποψηφιότητες για τα 94α βραβεία Oscar ανακοινώθηκαν το βράδυ της Τρίτης και περιλαμβάνουν ένα μεγάλο εύρος ταινιών.
Το «The Power of the Dog» ηγήθηκε ανάμεσα στις υποψήφιες ταινίες με 12 υποψηφιότητες. Νέο ρεκόρ σημείωσε και ο υποψήφιος για σκηνοθεσία Steven Spielberg ως παραγωγός του «West Side Story», το οποίο κέρδισε συνολικά επτά υποψηφιότητες.
Ο Denzel Washington επέκτεινε το ρεκόρ που ήδη κατέχει ως ο πιο υποψήφιος μαύρος ηθοποιός, κερδίζοντας τη δέκατη υποψηφιότητά του για Όσκαρ για την ερμηνεία του στην «Τραγωδία του Μάκβεθ». (Μία από τις υποψηφιότητές του ήταν για παραγωγή.)
Αυτό που έχει προκαλέσει, ωστόσο, έκπληξη στο κοινό είναι οι ταινίες “House of Gucci” και “Tick,Tick…Boom”, οι οποίες αναμένονταν να έχουν περισσότερες υποψηφιότητες. Βέβαια, ο Andrew Garfield είναι από τα μεγάλα φαβορί για το βραβείο του Α΄Ανδρικού Ρόλου και όχι άδικα.
Η απονομή των βραβείων πρόκειται να πραγματοποιηθεί την Κυριακή 27 Μαρτίου.
